Oklahoma can boast of the most
extensive railroad building now
ing on iu the United States. There

struction in the newspapers, but we
have geuuine railroad grafting in pro-

or four years.
"With even a less degree of liber-
ality manufactories may be establish-
ed, giving employment to thousands
of skilled and uuskilled laborers and
providing a home murkc' for a largo
proportion of the products of the
state. Wo believe that friendly tax
ation of manufacturing enterprises,
genorf' encouragement to the invest-
ment of capital, and a spirit of fair
ucss toward corporations would result
in benefits more far-reaching and gen
eral than anything else which could
now bo devised for the good of the
whole people.—Dennison Herald.
Is it True!
Good horses are cheaper In some
parts of the west now than dogslu the
oast, for there are few dogs notowned
by some one, while the horses cannot
bo given away. All over the west
horses have been astoundingly cheap
for some time, and two or three dol-
lars has been a good price for a good
animal. A hundred head of ranch
horses, sturdy, unbroken bronchia
from Wyoming, were sold In Denver
for 100 and the freight recently. It
Is reported that a big stock Arm in
