Since Mr. Herskowitz' return from a five weeks purchasing visit in New York. He lias always gone to the fountain head of all dry goods trade to buy, and Is consequently
well acquainted with the New York dry goods market. He knew that the way to get great bargains was to go to New York and watch his chance. Every day there is a
great bargain iu that great city in dry goods. Every day some manufacturer is forced to push sales at a sacrifice in order to meet obligations. It was to take advantage of
that state of affairs that Mr. Herskowitz watched the market for five week. The first great bargain that he struck was an immense stock of
