CHRISTIAN CHURCH NOTES
Free Lecture
A Free Lecture will be given
by 0. F. Wilson of Oklahoma
City in Nichol’s Hall, June 26,
at 3 p. m. Subject, “The
Dawn of a New Era." Hope
for distressed humanity, what
meaneth the world wide dis-
tress. famines, pestilences and
Children's Day next Sunday.)
A bright, short program will be
given. Every teacher is urged
to have perfect attendance.
Ralph Harrell will be there
with his camera to take pictures
of the various classes and the
entire school.
The Sunday School session last Sun-
day was held in the presence of the re-
mains of Bro. Roe Perkins who made
the supreme sacrifice in the World War
in 1918, and was very sacredly sweet and
impressive. The 130 members had the
honor of being present.
The contest in the Round Table class
led by captains Bert White and Mrs.
E. S. Perkins, has closed and the class
expresses high appreciation to these lead-
ers for the fine work thev have done in
building up the class. They will hold a
“get-together” social soon.
Mr. McClure and Mrs. Chas. Hennes-
sey will be captains of the men’s and
women’s contest in the Round Table
class, to begin Sunday. This promises
to be a hot contest.
Mrs. Barney Harris entertained her
class at her home last Thursday after-
noon. There were 21 present and they
had a fine time playing games and had
an extra lot of refreshments.
The Gleaners class elected two new
officers, Thelma Booher, secretary, and
Janice Coffer, reporter. They also have
four attendance boosters, Jewet Abbott,
Fred Fessler, Dorothy Kennedy and Ka-
ty Burrows. They will have full class
meeting at church Thursday at 7 p. m.
Wear your tag and help boost the
crowd for Children’s Day and get into
the Sunday School picture.
The girls of the Climbers won. Con-
sequently the boys entertained them
with a party last Friday night at the
Ozark Hotel. Rook was the main feat-
ure for the entertainment. Delightful
refreshments were served. Everybody
had a fine time. Mr. Earnest Canada is
the new president. Watch us grow.
The class is always climbing, sometimes
down but usually up and on. Come and
join us.
The Primary class will have lessons
out of doors the rest of the trimmer.
Miss White, the teacher, and the par-
ents are making pillows jo be used in-
stead of the chairs.
Henry Frick Missed the Parade!
Henry C. Frick got his early training blasting stumps
on his father’s farm.
One day a circus came to town. Henry wanted des-
perately to see that circus. But his father said there
was work to be done on the farm. So Henry plowed all
day while the neighbors sailed gaily past toward town
in the morning and came back at night talking about
the wonderful parade.
Yet the time came when Henry might have bought a
circus of his own with a week’s salary. .
His life story is like scores of others. He sacrificed in
youth that he might put his savings to work and have
plenty of money later on. Are you saving a part of
your Lome and putting it to work? Let us help you
make a start. Step in, or phone, any time.

If your salesmen spend unproductive time going
from prospect to prospect, because of slow transporta-
tion, it is money lost. Slow transportation robs them of
part of their time—time that might just as well he turn-
ed into sales.
A Ford Runabout furnishes quick transportation at
the lowest possible cost. By equipping your salesmen
with Ford cars, you will enable them to devote more
energy to selling goods.
