INTERIM OPERATION PENDING INSTALLATION OF PERMANENT
EQUIPMENT WILL BE INAUGURATED ABOUT DECEMBER 15
As the result of insistent urging from officials of the CBS Television Network and from
thousands of TV set owners and advertisers the management of KWTV has decided to go
ahead with an interim operation to start in December. We believe we can be ready about
December 15.
- . «
We would like to make it clear that this interim operation will not cover the full area KWTV
will later serve with permanent equipment. Nor will we have our projected 1500-foot tower in
operation by that time. It will take probably a fuU year to manufacture, ship and install the
elaborate equipment we have ordered and which will make KWTV one of the finest if not
the very finest, television station in America.
In the meantime KWTV will provide an excellent picture and entertaining programs for the
Oklahoma Qty marketing area. We think we will adequately reach Shawnee, Guthrie, Edmond,
Reno, Norman, and Chickasha. Numerous smaller communities will be well im.s. our tem.
porary pattern of viewing. KWTV will bring residents of this area all Columbia network pro-
Zm™mi0W , * Carricd by the exi8tinfr stations and wm continue those already in opera-

delivery and comp etion of our permanent equipment. We sincerely hope that KWTV (Channel
) w bung countless hours of viewing pleasure to thousands of homes.
