Shower Honoree
CALENDAR
Mrs. Bud Adamson was honored
at a bridal shower Tuesday at the
home of Mrs. Clifford Jackson, El
Reno route 3. The hostess was as-
sisted by her daughter, Joyce.
Mrs. Adamson is the former Miss
Janiece Jones, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Jones, El Reno route 3.
Her marriage to Bud Adamson, son
of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Adamson of
Oklahoma City, was solemnized July
3 in the Britton Methodist church
in Oklahoma City. Rev. E. T. Co-
oprider officiated.
Mrs. Jones said guests were Mrs.

A monthly meeting of the Wo-
rn n's Society of Christian Service
of the Red Rock Methodist church
was held Wednesday afternoon.
At the meeting in the home of
Mrs. Homer Miller, west of El Reno,
devotions were led by Mrs. Wayne
Fees.
Mrs. Bernie Hopkins said the les-
son was presented by Mrs. Jasper
Ridenour.
During the business session, plans
were made for u Revival to be held
sometime in August. Members also
discussed plans for a "Guest Day",
selecting August 1 as a tentative
date. At that time the society will
entertain with a tea in the after-
noon and have a missionary pro-
gram.
Among those attending were Mrs.
Price Thompson, Mrs. Bruce Mil-
ler, Mrs. Sylvester Smith. Miss Vel-
ma Smith, Mrs. John VanGundy,
Miss Grace VanGundy, Mrs. Nor-
man Ankney, Mrs. Cecil Bright,

VanGundy. Mrs. Harry Thompson,

Adele Kastner, representative to
Oirl’s State from the Catholic Dau-
ghters of America, gave a report of
the activities at the regular month-
ly meeting of the court Wednesday
evening at the Knights of Columbus
hall.
Mrs. Florence Laird, grand re-
gent. conducted the meeting during
which Mrs. Jack Ross, and Mrs. C.
N. Redell gave a report of the
chicken dinner held recently in the
church hall.
Miss Eva Wolf, and Mrs. Robert
Boevers will be hostesses at the
Blue Cross meeting July 14 in the
church hall.

Prepared for Club
Nancy Kunneman of the El Reno
Hi 4-II club gave a demonstration
on "A Freezer Meal" Wednesday
for members of the Rich Valley
home demonstration club.
Mrs. Jack Cooksey said Nancy
prepared a main dish and dessert
at the afternoon meeting in the
home of Mrs. E. O. Jeffrey, East
Foreman road.
A lesson on "Happier Homes",
was led by Mrs. A. E. Atkinson.
Guests were Mary Ann Jeffrey,
and Mrs. Eugene Fitch.
Other members present were Mrs.
M. A. Jeffrey, Mrs. Frank Evans!
Mrs. Bob Jensen, Mrs. Eddie Kouba,
Mrs. Steve Wise, and Mrs. Cooksey.
August 4 meeting will be at the

at a stork shower Friday afternoon
at tlie home of Mrs. Carl Elmen-
horst.

Complete Bird Study
At the regular weekly meeting
Wednesday of Girl Scout troop 16
of Etta Dale Junior highschool,
members finished their study of
tropical fish.
During the meeting in the home
of their leader, Mrs. R. A. Bachler,
902 South Rock Island, the girls
voted to begin work on the pet
badge next.
Nancy Bachler reported the re-
mainder of the afternoon was spent
working on designs for their scrap-
book covers.

Blair, Joyce Vieweg, Katherine
White, Barbara Miller, Darlene
Frachiseur, and Nacy Bacltler.
Karen Cook was a guest of the
troop for tne afternoon.
Mrs. John Onan, and Mrs. Cleo
Heitzman were guests Wednesday
of the Razzle-Dazzle club.
The afternoon meeting was held
at the home of Mrs. Florence
Heitzman, 800 West Watts.
'Mrs. Sam H. Kelley said high
score was won by Mrs. Cleo Heitz-
man. Second high score went to
Mrs. George Schumacher.
