How Can I?
Q. How can I get chickens per-
fectly clean when dressing them?
A. Rub them thoioughly with
baking soda, and then wash off
with warm water.
Q. How can I make a geed stiff-
ener for dimity?
A. Dissolve two ounces of gum
arabic in a pint of hot water. Use
in the proportion of two table-
spoonfuls in two quarts of water.
It gives a dainty body to the ma-
terial without making it look
starchy.
