I In spite of the fact that the en-
f rollment is 138 more than last year.l
the teaching force is 2 less. Upon
the resignation of one teacher no
new teacher was appointed but a
teacher was transferred from anoth-
er bulIdlDg to take her place.
I Every teacher has been visited by
Supt. Faust this year and special at-
tention has been called by him to
the necessity of their teaching the
fundamentals In all branches. Supt.
Faust has also been sending out let-
ters on points to be observed by
them all. One letter was upon the
teaching of politeness, another on
language, in which he wisely urged
that all teachers should teach lan-
guage and not alone the English In-!
structors. One sentence of impor-
tance in the letter was, "So it is th* ;
problem of every teacher, and every
parent as well, to point out the lit-
tle mistakes pupils make In every j
Gay conversation and show them the
correct form.""
