sealed proposals for the perform
ance of the work and furnishing
of the material and the putting In
of lateral sewers through the fol-
lowipg Blocks, to-wlt:
North and south through DIock
6, Dill Addition, will be received
up until four o'clock p. m., Tues-
day, August 5, 1913, at the office
of the City Engineer of the City of
Shawnee.
All bids must be in regular form
and on proper proposal blanks.
Said lateral sewers to be put In
In accordance with plans and speci-
fications ^hich have been adopted
and are on file in the office of tho
City Engineer, and under the su-
pervision of the Board of Public
| Works.
| The successful bidder will be re-
quired to give a sufficient bond to
be approved by the Mayor and
Council for tho faithful performance
and execution of the work and to
save the City harmless from any
damages which might occur from
the negligence of the contractor In
performing said work or for defec-
tive material used In construction
of said sewers and for maintenance.
Certified check to the amount of
five per cent of contract price will
be required to be deposited with
