Members Hold
Picnic Dinner
The Birthday club met for a pic-
nic dinner at 6:30 p. m. Thursday
in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
French, 210 South Macomb avenue.
Pitch was played during the eve-
ning with W. C. Whitacre winning
high for the men and Mr. French
winning second high. For the
women, Mi s. French won high and
Mrs. W. H. Hammett won second
' high.

Patrick were presented birthday
I presents. Mrs. B. W. Roblyer and
| Mrs. Bryan Gregory were given an-
niversary presents.

Division four of the General So-
ciety of Woman’s Work of the First
Presbyterian church met Thursday
in the home of Mrs. Duard Barnes,
1101 South Ellison avenue.
The meeting was opened with a
prayer by Mrs. Francis Hollings-
worth. Mrs. Hollingsworth gave the
devotions and presided at the busi-
ness meeting.
A short program was given after
the meeting and a refreshment
course was served by the hostess.
Mrs. Clifford Laird was a guest
for the meeting.

Q. How can I sharpen a razor

A. If the razor blade is immeised
in hot (not boiling) water before
using the strop, it will take hold
of the strop <«nd will acquire a
good edge after a few strokes

A. Dip the fish into boiling wa-
ter before beginning the work.
Q. How can I remove fly specks
from brass?
A. Put a tablespoonful of kero-
sene in a quart of water, and rub
with a damp cloth.
Q. How can I keep piano keys
white?
Q Rub them occasionally with a
cloth dipped in alcohol, and then
dry with another cloth. Do not
allow any alcohol to get on tht
tarnish, as It Is a varnish remover.
