Mrs. Robert Taylor entertained
Monday evening with a surprise
birthday party in honor of her
husband in the home of Mr. and.
Mrs. B. J. Morris. 208 West Fore-
man street.
Pitch was the diversion of the
evening with high scores going to
Mrs. Don Dresser and Jess Oyler
while Mrs. Max Morris and Rich-
ard Kamm scored low.
The honoree was the recipient
of many gifts.
Refreshments were served to Mr.
and Mrs. Bernard Ahern, Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Davis, Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Alien Stroud, whose
marriage took place Mar. 23, were
|ionorqd at a wedding shower
(Thursday evening in the basement
of the First Church of the Naza-
rene.
The gift table was centered with
a two-tiered wedding cake topped
with a miniature bridal couple.
After Uie bride had cUt the first
piece of cake. Miss Georgia lee
Oordrffy, cousin of the bride, was
in charge of serving.
Others assisting in serving were

bride, Mrs. R. H. Stroud, mother
of Mr. Stroud, Mrs. Ted McCray,
