New Member Welcomed
By Two Hour Bridge
One of the prettiest parties of
the season's series for Two Hour
Bridge club was enjoyed Wednes-
day afternoon at th^ home of Mrs.
Ernest Pearl. 500 North Evans av-
enue, when Mrs. John E. Smith
was welcomed into membership.
Mrs. Adolph Messenger was an
additional guest to enjoy the
Christmas party with members.
In the games of hearts Mrs.
Smith received the high score
award, while Mrs. H. Worth Vasey
received the second high favor and
Mrs. J. C. Ozmun was presented
the traveling prize. Mrs. Mes-
senger was given a lovely remem-
brance.
Gay Yuletlde decorations appear-
ed about .the rooms to form a
lovely setting for the occasion
with red and green colors pre-
dominating in every detail. The
Christmas colors were repeated in
the appointments of a dainty
lunch served by the hostess, as-
sisted bv Mrs. Messenger.
Mrs. Pearl, garbed in the full
regalia of Santa Claus, distributed
the gaily wrapped parcels, which
had been placed around the illum-
inated tree, which graced the din-
ing table. Each member received
a beautiful remembrance in the
exchange.

Members of the Home and Child
Study club honored their children
with a Christmas party Wednesday
afternoon at the home of Mrs. A.
H. Sturdevant, 519 East Wade
street.
Each room was decorated to rep-
resent a different scene. Red rope
was draped In the dining room,
where Santa with his reindeer and
sleigh was in evidence, while a
Chrtstmns tree and Nativity scene
appeared in the living voom, which
was adorned with green streamers,
holly, silver flowers und other
motifs of the season.
It was the third birthday an-
niversary of little Mary Beth Con-
nely, who was presented a lovely
birthday cake topped with throe
candles. The children sang a
birthday song in her honor.
