EL RENO (OKLA.) DAILY TRIBUNE
MONDAY, OCTOBER 31, 1932.
IKE a VISION from the PAST
THERE in the glitter and gaudiness ot a
night club, the singer stood, a girl from
.i I ,» » H , j
another generation, of an age when the
world was young and innocent and full of
hope. And the music of her song struck
chords in the memories of two men sitting
there, taking them back to the war days
and bringing a vision of the girl they both
had loved—and in the chaos of conflict,
had strangely lost.
The romantic and idealistic girl of before
1917 comes to life again in Margaret Wid-
demer's latest romance, the story of a
heroine withdrawn from the social and
moral changes of post-war America. She
returns to find herself at first estranged,
then suddenly, because of the world’s de-
sire for a lost beauty of other days, im-
mensely beloved.
