II FILTHY DISEASE
A COMMON SENSE TREATMENT
QUICKLY BELIEVES ALL DIS-
TRESSING SYMPTOMS.
If you have any symptoms of ca-
tarrh, such as stuffed up feeling in
the head, profuse discharge from
the nose, phlegm In the throat, caus-
ing hawking and spitting, dull pain
in the head, or ringing in the ears,
Just anoint the nostrils or rub the
throat or chest with a little Ely s
Cream Balm, and see how quickly
you will get relief.
In just a few minutes you will
feel your head clearing, and aftar
using the Balm for a day or so the
nasty discharge will be checked, the
pain, soreness and fever will be
gone, and you will no longer be of-
fensive to yourself and friends by
your constant hawking, spitting and
blowing.
Shake off the grip of catarrh he-
fore it impairs your sense of taste,
smell and hearing and poisons your
whole system. In a short time you
can, be cured of this distressing dis-
ease by using Ely's Cream Balm.
This healing, antiseptic Balm doea
not fool yju with short, deceptive
relief, but completely overcomes the
disease. It clears the nose, head
and throat of all the rank poison,
soothes, heals and strengthens the
raw, sore membranes, and makes
you proof against catarrh.
One application will convince you,
and a fifty cent bottle will generally
effect a complete cure. Get It from
your druggist and start the treat-
ment at once. Wallace Mann, Agent

, CITY COUNCIL.
The city council met 'n regular
session Tuesday evening, all mem-
bers present but Harris, Mayor
Stearns presiding and Frank Rood-
house city clerk.
The ordinance providing for the
construction of lateral sewers
certain districts and assessing the
cost for the same was adopted, after
a block in the North Park addition,
where the sewer has no out'et, was
cut out.
The report of the city engineer as
to certain sewers completed, Includ-
ing a portion put in by the school
board to the Irving school, and an-
other put in by the school board and
private citizens on the east sido
near the Horace Mann school, was
accepted, and an ordinance covering
the payment for Bame ordered
drawn.
Alderman Farris brought up the
matter of Babcock fire extinguishers
for the fire wagons, and upon 'his
motion the necessary number were
ordered purchased.
It was suggested by the mayor
that one of the street commission-
er's horses be traded temporarily for
one of the east side fire team that
shows signs of breaking down, the
mayor stating that it was possible
that the change would restore the
fire horse, who was practically use-
less now. The change was ordered
by the council.
Alderman Farris urged that the
school bdard be asked to install san-
itary plumbing in the Central School,
In place of the "dry system" now
in use. He said that as long as the
city had put In sewers all about the
place, he believed that the board
should be compelled to make ubb of
them. Secretary Alexander of the
board was present an dstatod that
the present system had always given
good satisfaction.

An event of unusual Interest to a
number of friends was the marriage
of Miss Virginia Emma N'unn to
Harold R. Williams, which took
place at high noon Wednesday at
the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. E.
Smith, at Goodwill. The ceremony
was performed toy the Rev. J. r.
Crow, rector of the Episcopal church
at Bramwell. Two interesting facts
concerning the marriage ring of tho
bride's mother and that the date was
the eleventh anniversary of the wed-
ding of the bridels sister, at whose
home she was married. The brido
was given In marriage by her broth-
er, J. F. Smith, and attended by
ber sisters, Mesdames J. E. Smith
and F. E. Hartuook, as matrons of
honor and her nelce, little Miss
Margaret Smith, as flower girl. B.
E. Hartsook, brother, of the bride,
was best man. Following the cere-
mony the guests were invited into
the dining room, where a sumptuous
luncheon was served. The bride
wore a bandBome gown of white mar-
quisette and lace over messaline
and carried a shower bouquet of
w"hlte carnations. Mesdames Smith
and Hartsook wore handsome lin-
gerie dresses over pink mossaiino.
Prior to the ceremony Mrs. E. T.
Cecil sweetly sang "O Promise Me,"
accompanied by Mrs. A. B. Kingan
who alBO played the wedding march
and during the ceremony softly
rendered "Hearts and Flowers." The
house was beautifully decorated In
green and white and a color Bcheme
of pink and green was carried out
in the dining room. The bride and
groom, accompanied by the groom's
mother, Mrs. J. H. Williams, left on
tho afternoon train for Urbana, 0.,
and Tahlequah, Okla. The bride is
the daughter of W. R. Nunn, for-
merly of Martinsville, Va„ and now
residing In San Francisco, Cal., and
has been a successful teacher for
the past few years In the state nor-
mal school at Tahlequah. The
groom, formerly of Urbana, O., Is
now lead of the English department
In tho samo school and Is a young
lawyer of great ability. Mr. and
Mrs. Williams will be at home after
September 15 at Tahlequah, Okla.—

RUMOR OF NEW
KATY DIVISION.
Bob's Cigar Co. each afternoop fo'

Muskogee, Sept. 11.—That the
Katy railroad is contemplating the
building of a new town 25 miles
south of Muskogee where a division
point will be located is the rumor
which has reached Muskogee. Bond
Switch is the place under consider-
ation. The now plan of the road, It
is said, is to establish freight dl-
I vision points between St. Louis and
Dallas at Sedalla, Mo., Kansas City
Junction, Parsons, Kan., Bond switch
und Denlson. The original plan was
to have two divisions in Oklahoma,
one at Muskogee and another at
Atoka but this proved Impractical.
The run from Muskogee to Denlson
is so long that the sixteen hour la*
would be broken and much overtime
paid, and at the same time, it would
be costly to have a division at Mus-
kogee and another at Atoka because
tho railroad must pay employees for
a 100-mlle run whether It aggregates
that distance or not. It is only
about 60 miles from Atoka to Den-
lson.
