I had a call tho other day from a business man who eald: "Mr.
Brooks. I want you to handlo my advertising becauso I realiie that yo.t
know how to write persuasive and attractive ads that bring results. In
tho past, I havo not been a very ardent believer In newspapftr advertis-
ing, but somehow or other, your ads attracted my attention and I have
read them. You succeeded In persuading me, even though you never
met tno personally, to advertise In the dally newspapers, provided the
advertising is tho right kind."
I do not cite this instance to advertise myeslf, but to show you that
dally nowspaper advertising pays and convinces dou'bters. This is only
one Instance, but honestly tell you that I have had a dozen or more
such accounts come to me voluntarily without any personal solicita-
tion whatever.
All on earth that gave mo this business was my daily NEWSPAPER
ADVERTISING.
What can be done for nty business can bo done for any othei/"busl-
ness, but you must give your advertising the time, attention and care
that it deserves. It is a great thing, If properly cared for. It can be
mado to pay you handsome dividends, but you must advertise so that
your ads will be attractive, Instructive and impelling.
