Berry Honeycutt and Miss Lizzie
Trent were married Sunday at the
home of the bride near Rossville. Rev.
W. F. Bean officiating. These young
people have grown up here, and have
toe best wishes of their friends and
neighbors.
Otis Brewer helped Emmet Martin
haul hogs to Meeker Monday.
J. A. Raines and family of Keokuk
Falls are visiting relatives here.
Wednesday three of our most pop-
ular young couples were married
They were Tom Hall and Lona Strick-
land, Jessie Hall and Enloe Ward,
and Roy Brewer and Mae McCown.
About 9 a. m. the young people, with
four car loads of friends and rela-
tives left the McCown home for Tr-
ail extended visit at Sioux City
and other points.

is becoming quite an expert driver, j

Mrs. Sam Ragland and children re- j
turned Sunday from a months visit1

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Moulin and
Opal and Leo and Charles Moulin and j
Mrs. Louise Thomas motored to
Shawnee Monday in the new touring j
car recently purchased by Charles J
Moulin.
G. M. Gentry and family made an \
auto trip to Kendrick Sunday and
cumseh, where two of the couples .were guests of Theodore Gentry and
were married. They then returned family.

heme here, where they found a large
crowd of friends and kinsfolk await-
ing. A splendid wedding supper was
served, at which the following were
present, besides the immediate fam-
ilies of the contracting parties: N.
P. Hall and family, Clarence Hall
and family; Henry Green and family;
Harvey Honeycutt and family; J. I’,
and George Roberts and families;
Mrs. Mary Cantrell and three child-
ren; Clarence Honeycutt and wife;
Mrs. Ray Brewer and children; Maud
Brewer; Allan, Robert, Ed and John
Mote; John Overman; Mrs. Eunice
Shafer and others whose names your
correspondent has forgotten. After
supper the crowd adjourned to W. H.
Ward’s where they were soon joined
by M. M. Fenderson and family;
Ramon and Flaviahthe the time the
and a large crowd of friends and
neighbors. Roy Brewer and Oran
Whitlow rendered a number of se-
lections on the violin, then the choir
gathered around the organ and sang
a number of songs. Candy, apples
and cigars were passed around. Aft-
erwards the young people played
games and the crowed scattered to
their homes, wishing each of the
newly married couples a long and
hsppy life.
Tom and Jesse Hall are the sons
of B. B. Hall. Roy Brewer is the
eldest son of Mrs. James Brewer.
Mrs. Jesse Hall is the third daughter
of W. H. Ward, all prosperous farm-
ers of this community. Mrs. Brewer
and Mrs. Tom Hall are the stepdaugh-
ters of Rev. James McCown of New
Salem.
Walter Kerr moved to McLoud
Thursday where he will enter the
garage business with his brother-in-
law, Port Merlatt.
Berry Honeycutt has moved onto
the Iloker farm.
Mrs. James Brewer gave a supper
Thursday evening in honor of the
marriage of her son Roy. A large
number were present and report an
enjoyable evening.
Harvey Honeycutt, Tony Haskins,
Milford Cochran, J. W. Mote, He-
witt Smith, Bob Spurgin and D. W.
Cantrell took cotton to Mclsiud Sat-
urday. They report line above 20
cents and cotton seed $5R a ton.
George Stearman and son, Frank,
Gene Fortune and son Charlie went
to Oklahima City Saturday.
Fred Brasiel visited Clarence Hon-
eycutt Sunday.
Mrs. Mae Stearman visited Mrs.
Gene Fortune Sunday.
Dewey Percival of Valley View
came up on his motorcycle to visit

Berry Lynch was busy during the
week repairing the house on his farm
W. H. Gates has been quite poorly

The W. C. T. U. at Happy Hill
gave an entertainment Sunday even-
ing. Several splendid recitations and
songs were rendered and 90 signed
the pledge and about 90 signed the
petition for nation wide prohibition.
