As far as we can learn not a
man, woman or child were hurt
in a cyclone cave. Is human
life so cheap that any one can
not afford to have a cave? It
is criminal carelessness in any
man settling down, with a
family, in a place that ia subject
to cyclones and not building a
good cave. They can be made
at small coat, Every man owes
it to his family to have a place
of refuge provided for them in
case of storm. Your wife and
little helpless children look to
you for protection and it is your
duty to give it to them. Then
when you have one do not be
ashamed to go there when the
storms come. It is not bravery
but fool hardiness that keeps
you from making yourself and
family sale. Builds cave.
The spirit of brotherhood and
helpfulness brought out by the
awful calamity that befell
Lugert a? week ago last Satur-
day, here in Lone Wolf and in
other towns neighboring the
scene of disaster, proves, as it
has done eyeryyrhere that sud-
den affliction has visited some
community in our beloved
country, that, goodness and
charity fill the hearts of our
people., All thoughts are laid
aside on such occasions but the
one of assistance and sacrifice.
In a sense, public calamities are
a blessing, for they give op-
portunity of exercising and

manifesting all that is best in us.
Lone Wolf did a noble part in
its promptness and generosity
in hastening to the relief of the
affected people of our devastated
little neighboring town. There
was no waiting and watching
to see what others were doing.
Every man and woman in our
community hurried to do what
they could in the emergency. A
finer example of whole-hearted
sympathy and Christian gen
erosity could not have been ex
hibited than they manifested on
the occasion. Rich and poor
contributed, not only cheerfully,
but with that eagerness and
solicitude that members of a
family run to the assistance of
the beloved one of their kin who
is exposed to great peril. God
bless Lone Wolf!
