As Don’s Weekly Review states, “it
is not the season for the tide of busi-
ness to rise,” bat there is no pcrcepti
ble shrinkage, and compared with last
year the volume of business is entirely
satisfactory. There are evidences of
dissatisfaction in labor centers. That
is to say, some think that wages ought
to advance faster than they have. But
aven in these matters there arc no
jepious'disturbauoes, and the chances
jw that adjustments will be effected
A the near future.

Newspapers can be decent as well us
fedeoent and although rivalry may ex-
it between the people of two commit-
jbtiis, it is not necessary that the
Newspapers of either place descend to
a/()use or vindication. A generous riv-
alry is always icommendable. Evi-
dences of spite and malice are not
praiseworthy in either men or news-
papers.—Ex.
