1895, in which you allege that many
bogus allotments were made on tho
Citizen Pottawatomie reservation. Von
ask if tlie allottees can hold all these
allotments, and if not, what disposition
will bo made of them. In reply I have
to advise you that where allotments
have been made to Indians and patents
issued therefor, there is no waj in
which tho title can lie set aside except
by tho judgment or decree of a court
having competent jurisdiction, and :i
suit for this purpose can only be ilisti
tuted by the United States If you will
faruish this office with tlx* names of
the fraudulent allottees, or with the
names wf the fraudulent allottees, or
with tlie description of the lands
Which you claim to have been fradu-
lently allotted, this office will make
such investigation of the matter as may
seem proper
