the (i. A. It. are invited to meet with

The Territorial republican league
meeting at Enid, yesterday, was one
of the most largely attended conven-
tions ever held in the Territory, about
four hundred delegates being in at-
tendance. The meetiug was harmoni
ous and earnest, and, as usual, the re-
publicans of Oklahoma alligued them-
selves with the people, scored tin* pres
ent administration for its dillatory
course in regard to opening reserva
tions to settlement, and came out in
favor of the free coinage of silver in the
ratio of 10 to 1. '1 he officers elected
for the ensuing year are: President—
(J. M. Bacou, of Pawnee; secretary—E
(). Tyler, of Kingfisher, treasurer—J
R. Wallace, of Perry. VN A. Main
of this city, was chosen as one of the
delegates to the National league con-
vention, at Cleveland, Ohio. The del-
egates in attendance from this city
were: M. L. Stanley, J II. Pitzer, \V.
R. Brown. E. R. Rosser and Wm. A.
Maurer. The next meeting of the Ter-
ritorial league will be held iu El Reno.
The telephone line on the Choctaw is
completed and is now in good running
order. The stations now having ser-
vice are Shawnee, Wewoka, South Me-
Alester, sections No. 25, 2 ami 72, and
the chief engineer’s office. For the use
of the instrument 50 cents is charged
and 25 cents additional for delivery if
necessary. The writer talked with
Cash Cade at Shawnee yesterday ami
found that the line worked well.—Star.

In the contest of Kemp vs. Hill, in-
volving title to lots 10 aud 11. block
100, tlie commissioner awards the lots
to Melia Kemp.
The secretary confirms the commis-
sioner’s decision iu case of Ferguson
Vs. Shinier, ordering the sale of the lots
for the benefit of El Reno.
The secreretary’s decision in the
cases of Melia Kemp vs. Gardiner, in-
volving title to lots 7. 8 and 9, block
100, and Aldrich vs. Miller, for lots 1
and 2, bloek 75, in favor of Kemp and
Aldrich.
Kern vs. Tohmps m. lot 9, block 60,
awarded to Kern.
The examination of Wiley Hays,
which was begun before U. 8. Commis
sinner Wass, was continued until next
Monday. Mr. Hays is held on the
charge of introducing stolen property
iuto the Indian country, but he is also
suspected of the murder of an Indian
and with complicity iu the Gordon
train robbery.
Profs. Clecton and Crawford left the
city today, bound for the Kickapoo
border with their baloou, in which they
propose to make the ruu iuto the new '
country on opening day. With a favor-1
able wind they can distance any horse I
aud with their parachute they can div>.

Early Sunday morning the Kick up o
boomers commenced to get in line and
by church time there were probably
150 people who were either occupying
chairs or had numbers. It was not un-
til yesterday noon, however, that an

taw connection at Oklahoma City is

and passeug'-c traffic to and from all
points.
