The Capital City Business Col-
lege of Guthrie, Okla , makes a
specialty of preparing yoliug peo-
ple to pass the civil service exam*
ination as stenographers, typists
and bookkeepers. These examin
ations are held in the fall and
spring and a number of our stu
dents puss them each year. So
far as we have beeu able to ascr-
tain. everyone of our graduates
who has stood the eximination
has passed, and every one who
has passed has received an ap
pointment, 1 This class of civil
service work pays §900 a year and
upward: our students seldom start
at less than $1000 for the first
year. This line of civil service
work is about the safest work that
a young person could pursue.
With us they ars sure of being
able to pass th : examination; when
they have passed the examination,
tbev are sure of a position; when
they have the position, they are
sure of a g od sa’ary; they aie
also suie of oasy hours and pro-
motion. Make your arrange-
ments now so that you can be
ready for the spring examination-
Write for full particulars. If you
caunot enter in person to take the
work, take our course by mail; it
is practical, it is thorough; guar

costs you nothing. For full par

terrible ‘‘hard times” nor that th
people have lost faith in Click

Friday and Saturday forenoon
the weather was too waim to be
comfortable, but about 1 o’clock
in the afternoon Saturday tin
wind suddenly whipped to the
north and the tail end of a Mani-
toba blizzard struck this section
of country and before night a flur
ry of snow fell and by morning
the memo y registered about ten
degrees abovo zero.
On Saturday the hard wind did
considei^tble damage to the tele
phone service by blowing down
poles, ciossing or grounding wires
all through this section and most
trains were lato Saturday after-
noon, night and Sunday. With
fuel at present \ eiees we are not
praying for much such weather.
