Do you know that every business house
in Coyle has a stock of goods in it?
East Saturday was a busy day for us
here—Every avaidable hitching . place
was filled.
Ripley on our east is just coming out
of a church fight, and from the Ripley
Times we judge they had a warm time.
Since we have more stires in
town you can see more people in town,
and when there is more people there is
more trading.
Residence property in Coyle is advanc
ing there is no desirable residence prop-
erty for rent—Say you fellows who have
lots on the hill, why don’t you get busy
and build?
One wlio was not accustom to the large
crowds that come to <'oyle each Saturday
would of thought that last Saturday w as
a big rally hut it was only a busy day.
The hand playing and the people
thronging the streets, was an indication
of good old times. .
Coyle in the future will be a trading
point that cannot he excelled in eastern
Oklahoma, and the .buying public reali
/.es this too, and are flocking here by
scores. We hope to have one of the best
cotton markets in Eastern Oklahoma, or
know the reason why. • We have two
i'ins here and they ought to be able- to
pay more for cotton here than they do at
Mareita, Langston and other inland towns
a id we believe they will too.
A good many of our farmers will be
plentifully supplied with kindling wood
this winter, as some of our merchants has
some black paint smeared over the board*
and nailed to every thing that they could
get to along the road. It’s all right to
let people know you are in business—but
they want to know what you have for
sale, and at what prices it can bd bought—
Before newspapers game into the world,
that kind of advertising was very popu
Ur, hut people don’t take time to read
sign hoards these days, they use them
for kindling—We heard a prominent
farmer say the other day that he was
going to use some of them.
