The case of the United states vs
J. W. McGowan for selling whisky to
Indians has been on trial most of to-
day. Frank Hall appears for the
prosecution and A. J. Rittenhouse for
the defense.
As our report closes the jury iu the
adovecase is out and the case of the
U. S. vs Joe Mitchell for selling
whisky to Indians has just been de-
cided. The judge dismissed the jury
and decided the case himself in favor
of Mitchell.
