Lousville, Ky., Nov. 25. Pur-
suant to the call of President J.
1!. Thompson, the members of the
Kentucky Distillers' association
gathered at the Galt house today
and began an important confer-
ence. The distillers believe the
whisky tax should be reduced
from $1.10 a gallon to 70 cents
and arrangements will be made
for a representation before the
next session of Congress to work
for the reduction.

House, has leased the second-
story rooms in the Union Block,
over the Bell office and has thor-
oughly renovated and refurnished
the apartments. New papering,
curtains and carpets have been
added and the rooms fitted up in

with the Eureka House, and ev-
erything will be kept in the most

Rock Island System, Choctaw,
Oklahoma tic Gulf R. R., in con-
nection with the Union Pacific
