the course. You may have to pay

bare rent for a week. What with
food, servants, hire of Isiats, itecora-
tion*. music and that elastic term sun-
dries, the expense of entertaining
your friend* on a houseboat for the
three Henley days may be anything
from a hundred to a thousand pound’.

Sir Henry Irving will not play in
Loudon again until next April, when
he will produce at the Lyceum the

Richard Mansfield will stage his
Shakespearean pluy of the y ear, "Henry
V.,“ at the Garden theater, 'lew York,
on October 1. The scenery for the play
is completed, and the costumes have
been made. In addition to the ftOspeak-
tng parts in the play, a bullet and
choir have been engaged, it is Mr.
MatisHe.d's avowed intention to make
the play as notable from a spectacular
as a histrionic standpoint.
