A very enjoyable musical evening
Is in store for music lovers in the
vo<tUl recital ■ of Miss Mildred
Shaughnessy of El Reno, who will be
heard in recital at the Musical Art
Institute on Friday evening, May
28, at 8:lu. It will be remembered
that Miss Shaughnessy, who is a pu-
pil of Mrs. Edna Land, carried off
the tirst honors of the state contest
conducted by the Federated Music
clubs. Also in the contest, between
these winners from nine southern
states, held at Memphis, Tenn., she
was again successful in being given
first place. She now goes to San
Francisco where she will compete
with the representativs from all ov^r
the Unite 1 Sltates.
In the recit..^T May 28 at the
Musical Art institute she will be
heard in the same numbers with

A wedding of more than unusual
interest to El Reno people will be
that of Miss Dena Wilson to Mr.
Edward Taylor, of Haileyville, to-
morrow evening at the homo of the
bride's parenits, Mr. and Mrs. M. N.
Wilson. Miss Wilson has been vis-
iting for some time with her sister,
Mrs. C. C. Smelzel, at Tulsa. Mr.
Taylor wos formerly connected with
the Rock Island offices here and is
well known in El Reno.

Miss Josephine Engle was hostess
to the Four Leaf Clover Club Satur-
day afternoon. Needle-work was the
diversion after which a dainty lunch
was served 011 the lawn.
A parity of young folks will en-
joy a hay ride this evening.

Norman this morning after spending
Sunday at the home of his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schafer.
