the annual convention of General
Electric dealers of the state which
wa* held Monday In Oklahoma City
It was an enjoyable day for Rector,
but at the banquet that evening, he
had the most exciting time of hia
I fe. and one that he will not soon
forget
The banquet room was transformed
to represent a cabaret, and Rector
wa* completely thrilled by the pro
gram Suddenly a bevy of newsboy*
Intruded on the a**enibly loudly cry
| Ing the latest edition of an Oklahoma
City newspaper.
Rector thought the Idea was a trifle
out of place, but continued to enjoy
himself despite the Interruption, un
til a gent » jan next to him bought
one of tha paper* The El Reno man
gave the paper but a rlance. but hi*
eye caught the headline In bold Mat k
lype. "Suit brought against Kl Reno
General Electric Dealer In Murder
Mystery."
Then according to Rector* own ac-
count. the cold chills chased eaoh

ar.d for an Instant hla pa*t life passed

Tremblingly he scanned the article
