to the Excise Board of Canadian

charmeuse or eponge for the skirt,
if you want something a little cheap-
er and more practical, something
you can wear to little outings or
shopping, or the morning tramp in
the country, make the cost blouse of
ant ruby, or Copenhagen blue ratine,
with a skirt ot black and white
stripe ratine, or white pique or epon-
ge. if you are going away for a
short trip, a skirt of white washaUle
corduroy would be a serviceable ad-
dition to your wardrobe, as this can
be washed out, hung up when quite
wet without wringing, and when al-
most dry, shaken out, and worn with-
out pressing. It is not very heavy
either, and certainly looks smart.
Make it like 7890, with an lverted

a fold, and there are dart tucks in !
the back, to take up the fulness, at ;
the waistline, and at the foot. The
girdle is noticeable pretty, giving
