Mrs. William Lambert, of North

lahoma, on acocunt of the illness of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Cates.
Mrs. Lambert is a sister of E. J. j
Cates, of this city.
Miss Virginia Handcastle, accom-j
panied her friend, Miss Yost, who has
been her house guest, as far as Kan-
sas City. Miss Yost then pursued
her journey home to Washington, D.

was interspersed with music. Mrs. j

cial hour followed. Ice cream and
cae were served.

Lowe, of El Keno, will arrive Tues-
day for sevral weeks' visit with Mr.
and Mrs. Russell O. Lowe.
Mrs. Ariel Howell, of 305 East
Jenkins str.'et, entertained the Ath-
letic club Friday afternoon lrom two
thirty until live o'clock. Five hun-
dred was the diversion. Mrs. M. B.
Cope won thefi rst prize, a cut glass
nappie, and Mrs. Thomas Benson an
ivory vanity (u.-*e as second prize.
Guest prizes, dainty strawberry pin

Jones, Barney Stewart, W. A. How-
ell and It. E. Conduitt. Punch was
served during the afternoon. The
rooms were decorated in red, white
and pink sweet peas and ferns. A
