PARIS. Aug 20. Recent discoveries
of tin- remains of American soldiers
lying uu French battlefields have
brought tin- number of bodies now in
the mortuaries of American trine-
teries over here to eighty.
The majority of these have been
identified, and are awaiting whatever
disposition may lie directed by the
next of kin The others are being
held for further investigation and re
search in the archives of the war de-
partnipnt in Washington in the hope
thill they too may be identified.
