E. Ladies MeeVNew Home Finished
The Ladies’ Aid Society and W. H. M.
S. of the M. E. Church held their quar-
terly Social meeting at the parsonage on
Wednesday afternoon. A program and
a generous lunch, provided by the mem-
bers, made the afternoon profitable,
pleasant and social. The Ladies met at
Jeff Smith and family have moved out
to their splendid new brick bungalow
just across the river, east of town. Their
new home, which has been under con-
struction for several months, is by far
the finest residence in this community.
It is modern throughout, having its own
their new home.
James McSpadden has returned from
Claremore, where he has been staying
for the benefit of his health. He says
he feels some better.

This portion of Pawnee County needs
a Deputy Sheriff. Some man who is in
sympathy with law and order, who is
brave enough to do his duty and honest
enough to refuse to be bought off for a
load of corn or a few dollars in money,
can be of great benefit to the public by
being appointed to that position.
It is probably quite wrong for The
Tribune to feel so, but we can’t help but
be somewhat gratified when these people
who send out of town to get their print-
ing done, "beoauFe it saves them mon-
ey”, pay several dollars more on a job
than they would at home.
