over all claims of indebtedness con-
tracted prior to July 1st, 1895.

R. S. McGuire, city attorney, ap-
peared bofor0 the Hoard, asking that
the Board make an order in reference
to the incorporation of the town of
Pawnee, Oklahoma Territory, in lieu
of nn order made by tho Hoard of
County Commissioner:! on April 10th,
1891. which order was not entered at
largo on tho mantes of that dale*, and
does not appear to have been tiled
among the papers of Incorporation of
said town of Pawnee, now on record in
the offieo of the County Clerk. He
therefore asked that the Board make
such order uml that the clerk bo in-
structed to enter the same upon the
records of the Commissioner’s Pro-
ceedings, as of the date of April 16th,
1894.
On motion, the following order was
made, incorporating the town of Paw-
nee, and the Clerk was instructed to
enter the same in full upon the rec-
ords of Commissioner’s Proceedings,
as of the date of April, 16th, 1894:
Now on this 16th day of April, 1894.

tors elected and chosen by the voters
at the election heretofore ordered for
the purpose of determining whether
certain territory in the town of Paw-
nee, Territory of Oklahoma, should be
incorporated under the name ofW
style of the Town of Paw nee.
And upon examination of said r, port
anil the proof submitted thereof which
is made to appear to the satisfaction
of the Board of County Commissioners
of Pawnee county, anti .said election
was in all respects cond ueted accord-
ing to law, and that the majority of
the ballots cast at said election has
upon them the word “yes.” and it is
therefore deemed that the voters of
the proposed town of Pawnee have
assented to the incorporation thereof
as a town.
And therefore it is by the Board of
County Commissioners of the county
of Pawnee declared that the south east
quarter (*-4 ) of section thirty-one (31),
the west half (’») of the south-west
quarter ('4 ) of section thirty-two (32*

luxes and claiming that part of the

the Osage Nation was assessed in Kay
county and that ha had paid tho taxes
In that county. Affidavits wore filed
and tho receipts of the county treasur-
er of Kay county, O. T., for year 1895
were produced.
On motion, tho Board reduced the
valuation of property to #248.00.
On motion, the Board adjourned to

Report having been made of certain
irregularities in the offlciul conduct of
W. w. Scott, township trustee uf Paw-
fownship twenty-two’(22) north of
Rang.* five (5) east, and the north-east
quarter (l4) of the north-east quarter
(H) of section six (8). and the north-
west quarter (11.) of the north-west
quarter ('4) of section live (5), town-
ship twenty one (21) north of Range
five (5) east of the Indian Meridian, in
the county of "(I,” Territory of Okla-
homa, bo and the same is incorporated
under the name and style of the lown
of Pawnee, with nil the powers amt
responsibilities vested In 11 duly incor-
porated town under and by virtue oT
the laws of Oklahoma.
The annual report of Coal Creek
township was presented.
On motion, the report was leceived
and ordered placed on file.

seer of the poor, was presented.
