GOSPEL MEETING.
All the churches of the city
have united in holding a Berits of
Gospel meetings. They have se-
cured a large tent which is pitched
in the square on Broadway, Evan-
gelist Shawhan and Rev, Ender-
kin a goipel singer, are conduct-
ing the meetings. It is estimated
that 1200 attended the meeting
last Sunday. It is the intention to
run the meetings several weeks.

MAPS.
A new wall map of the United
States has just been issued by the
Rock Island Passenger Depart-
ment. These maps are complete
in every detail and have been re-
vised up to date. They are three
and one half by four feet, printed
in black and yellow on heavy pa-
per, being bound suitably to hang
on the wall. They are a verv at-
tractive map and especially useful
for reference. The Rock Island
has sent out a large number of
maps to hotels and public places
and many requests for them from
is friends and patrons have been
complied with.
