flung a cloud of smoke like an old
wood-burning locomotive.
A bath tuo. piled high on matress-
es in a wneelbarrow, served as a
trailer and some of the other ac-
coutrement of the motor were sail,
anchor and cable, a wringing ma-
chine attached into the bath tub, an
air-tight heater with a stove pipe,
alarm clock, several life preservers,
a telescope, varied array of cooking
utensils, a box of flowers, a chicken
coop and numerous other parapher-
nalia.
Doubtless you wonder why the
three tramps needed a chicken coop.
They bad a net attached onto a long
pole. Whenever they would spy i
fowl ahead of them on the road they
would chug up to it and as th •
chicken began to "cross the road"
it would become ensnared in said net
and placed in the chicken coop. Then
at the first resting place the knights
of the road would have a good fry.
Amongst the many large and alto-
gether comical scenes in "Lonesome
Town" are those on the golf links
and at the formal affairs held at il.e
Watts Hotel and Country Club. At
these formal functions the tramps
introduce some now ideas on eti-
quette thai. lather take c,m by sur-
prise.
The story of "Lonesome Town" is
written around the disappearance of
the founder of the town of Watts
Sequoyah Theatre Next Friday.

Kill the Cause
V
Germ-carrying flies bring disease direct to your home
from the privy and outhouse. They wipe their germ-
laden feet on your food, bathe in the baby's milk
and leave many forms of sickness — then come the
doctor's bills — and you know what that means.
Files carry on their feet filth and th* germs of typhoid fever, malaria,
consumption—perhaps infantile paralysis and other dread diseases.
