The largest fee that has ever been
collected by any state department in
Oklahoma was paid to the secretary
of state last week by the M., O. & G
railroad company. The fee was paid
for the charter permitting the road
to build from Henryetta to Oklaho-
ma City and amounts to $20,006.75.
This amount brings the aggregate of
fees collected by the secretary of
state for the present year up to the
total of {100,000. Only .two of the
state departments have collected a
greater amount of money for the
present year—the Insurance depart-
ment, which has collected more than
$200,000, and the game warden's of-
fice, which has collected something
over $300,000. The secretary of state
has collected more money in fees
during the present year than during
any prior year since the establish-
ment of the office.—Guthrie Leader.

A Charming Woman
is one who Is lovely in face, form,
mind and temper. But It's hard for
a woman to be charming without
health. A weak, sickly woman will
be nervous and irritable. Constipa-
tion and kidney poisons show in
pimples, blotches, akin eruptions and
a wretched complexion. But Electric
Bitters always prove a godsend to
women who want health, beauty and
friends. They regulate Stomach,
Liver and Kidneys, purify the blood;
give strong nerves, bright eyes, pure
breath, smooth, velvety skin, lovely
complexion and perfect health. Try
them. 50c at all druggists.
The Heater That
Never Grows
Old
An Oklahoma farmer, whose hog
was killed by a train, wrote to the
company's claim agent for a settle-
ment. He penned his communication
thus: Dear sir: My razor back
strolled down your track a week ago
today. Your twenty-nine came down
the line and snuffed his life away.
You can't blame me, the hog, you
see, slipped through a cattle gate;
so kindly pen a check for ten, the
debt to liquidate. He received the
following reply: "Old twenty-nine
came down the line and snuffed his
life we know, but razor backs on
railroad tracks quite often meet with
woe. Therefore, my friend, we can-
not send the check for which you
pine. Just plant the dead, place o'er
his head, 'Here lies a foolish swine'."
