the bankers’ convention held
in Muskogee recently.

Sunday forenoon, at eleven
o’clock, Bro. Harris preached
the baccalaureate sermon in
the Methodist church, and
there was quite a crowd pres-
ent. The sermon was well
taken and was a mastery of
classical English.

J. A. Ingram, Chas. Tind-
all, and H. A. Dolen were
fishing Friday night, but the}’
were honest about it and said
that the fish positively refused
to bite. Little River was too
high.
Joe Ingram, wife, and baby
were recently on their farm to
see the new house they are
erecting there.

as, returned home after a de-
lightful visit here with the W.
T. McFarland family.

Miss Kate Bailey who was
visiting with Mrs. G. Knapp,
returned to her home in Shaw
nee.

The ladies will serve ice
cream and cake down town
Saturday afternoon, and the
proceeds will be used for re-
pairing the Baptist church.

of Earlsboro the first of the
week to witness the high
school play, “All A Mistake,’’
and he reports that the play
was excellent.

Wewoka a few days ago.

C. R. Day and wife were in
Earlsboro the first of the week
to witness the high school
play, and they say it was fine.

J. J. Klabzuba, of Prague,
was here on business recently.
W. E. Gilliam, of Mullins-
ville, Kansas, is here to visit
his brother and family, A. L.
Gilliam. He has not been
here in three years, and, be-
fore his return to Kansas, lie
will visit home folks in Green-
wood, Ark.
