Lawrence Beebe, of Shaw-
nee, was in town Friday. He
used to reside here several
years ago.
B. C. Johnston lias movid
from Tecum sell to this town,
having bought a residence in
the northeast corner of town.
A Christmas cactata will
be given at the Methodist
cluuch by the Sunday School
classes, and a very nice time
is anticipated by all. Prof. T.
F. Caudle will be Santa Claus
Mrs. Emily Putts, of Okla-
homa City, w;js here to visit
at the R. R. Hendon home a
few days.
Ernest McFarland left for
Ada the first of the week to
take a six montks’ course at
the Normal. He first intended
to go to Shawnee to take a
business course there.
Several young ladies were
here recently to visit Miss
Grace Ingram.
Mrs. -Ellen Kilburn took
her girls to her brother in
western Oklahoma, and she
returned home a few da; s ag >
M. H. Dillon was a busin-
ess visiter to Shawnee the be-
ginning of the week.
A. C.Bryant is making var-
ious improvements on his
farm. John Pool will live on
Arthur’s farm the coming
year.
At the home of A. Barrett
a girl made her arrival rec-
ently, and Andy is very proud
of that fact.
John Montgomery was in
town Saturday to do his trad-
ing.
The hea\y rains did con-
siderable damage to the rail-
road track north of town, and
all along the line the track
was more or less damaged
Sam Norton was a recent
Shawnee visitor. He is one of
the substantial farmers in this
section of the state.
Frank Work was a Shaw-
nee and Wewoka visitor Fri-
day. He will stay here with
his family for some time.
II. DeHart was a business
visitor to Shawnee recently.
