MOVE NEGRO REGIMENT,

San Antonio, Aiprll 10.—Gen-
eral Funs ton said today that he
would move tbe troops of the
24th infantry, negro regiment,
from Del Rio, to strengthen the
line of communications south of
Columbus, to “let them work off
their excess energy” as the result
of trouble with state rangers, in
which a ranger killed a negro
trooper late Saturday.
Lack of news is aggravating
General Funston who said that
It was a terrific task to direct
a campaign with so little infor-
mation from the advanced posi-
tions.
General Funston was not sur-
prised to learn of American cav-
alry reaching Parral today. Gen-
eral Pershing’s report heightened
optimism, with its declaration
that the American aviators bad
been received cordially at Chihua-
hua City and reiterated report*
that Villa had been wounded.
