Rural Carriers
Meet Here.
On Monday of this week the Kura'
Mail Carriers of Hughes and Seminole
Counties held their annual Convention
in the city of Seminole The Se.ninole
Carriers which there are four of them
had prepared a lunching at the Liberty
Cafe, for the visitors.
At One O'clock the convention was
called to order by it P.esident, O. E.
Sams of Wewoka, who after a few re-
marks introduced Thos. 0. Criswell,
our County Judge, who made the wel-
come address. Prof. Wilbanks furnish-
ed music for the occasion on h;s violen*
which was appreciated by all.
Several good talas were made by the
different carriers of which very much
was learned, in the postal work.
The conven:inn went on rescid as
favoring- the new equipment allcur.ce,
which is now before congress
The same officers were elected to
serve for another year. The next meet-
ing place for th’ convention will be
the city of Wewoka, which promises
the boys a good time.
The city of Seminole wishes to thank
the carriers for coming to its town to
ho d the convention, and invite them
bade any time they see fit to come.

Konawa. J. T. Fletcher, Konawa,
W. C. Alhms Holdenville. F. M. Bax-
ter Holdenville, Grady Harlan Wewoka
0. E, Sams Wewoka. Fred Henry,
William Hughes, Lee R. Morgan, and
Joshep Braggs, Seminole.
New County Officials.
Wewoka Girl Killed
In Automobile Wreck.
Miss Marion Howard of Wewoka
was instantly killed last Friday night,
when the auto in wh'chshe was driving
home from Wynona wentinto a ditch
