B. F. Boggs has sold his farm
east of town to W. Wyzoki, a Po-
lander. It is a school lease.
Jesse Judkins, the new black-
smith, and wife, are now residents
of Jones City. They occupy fine of
the W. A. Jones houses.
Will Robertson, of Bristow, forrn-
jerly of Jones City, was the guest of
his father, John L Lobertson,
southwest of town a few days the
past week.
Mrs D. J. Starkey has sold her
farm two miles north of Jones City
to Silas Shaw. Mrs. Starkey and
the children are talking of locating
in Oregon.

Jones City hardware dealer, was
here Monday from Oklahoma City,
calling on old friends. He is still in

lived on a farm south of Jones Gity,
was fined for being drunk and dis-
orderly at Oklahoma Gity Saturday.
He is also charged with assault up-
on T. H. Gilliland, in the county
court.

as to the following items of interest

Each promissory note shall be
stamped with a two-eeot special, for
each $100 00 of the principal sum
for which the note is given.
Transfer of Stock Certificates, 2
cents per $100.00.
Bill of Lading, or Express Re-
ceipt, 1 cent on each bill.
Telegraph or Telephone messages,
(costing over 15 ctsl toll,) a stamp
of !. ct on each message.
Deetjs to Real Estate, 50 cents fi
each $500 00.
Indemnity Bonds, (generally,) E
cents.
Insurance, one-half of 1 cent on
each $1.00 premium charged.
Power of Attorney, (ordinary),
and Proxies, or voting powers, 10
cents.
Power of Attorney for conveyance
of real estate, collection of rents,
dividends, etc., 25 cents.
Protest on notes, cheeks, etc., 25
cents.
Stamps should be affixed on the
document, and should be at once,
and before delivery or transmission,
cancelled by the gran tot, maker or
obligor stamping or writing the ini-
tial letters of his name and the date
of the cancellation across the face of

Some Cheese
A cheese that weighs between
five and six tons, and is nearly 5 ft.
high and more than 6 ft. in dia-
meter, has been made in New York
State for exhibition at the Panama-
Pacific Exposition, and is shown in
an illustration in the February Popu
lar Mechanics Magazine. The in-
take of 25 factories for a day, a-
mounting to about 106,000 lbs. of
milk, was used in the manufacture
of this enormous cheese. It was
made in a mold built up of galvaniz-
ed-steel hodps. At tbe close of the
exposition, the cheese will be cut
into-pound pieces and sold.
