Federal officials have assumed
charge, through Postoffice Inspec-
tor Hogcc of Kansas ('ity and Uni-
ted States Deputy Marshal John
P. Jones, of the cases of the men
eh rged with the robbery and
burning of the postoffiee and gen-
et. 1 merchandise store at Trous-
dale, Friday night.
The result of the investigation
>eeins to warrant the holding of
W. H. and Ed Blackston, Joseph
Freeman and Frank S win ford for
the crime. It is said that inasmuch
the government has taken the mat-
ter up, the accused men will not he
put on trial in the Terrritorial
District Court,
At the investigation it was
shown that “But” LaFromboix,
one of the accused, was not impli-
cated, and as a consequence he was
released from jail
The bond for the appearance of
the mei* in each ease was tixed at
$2,500.

age at the home of the bride’s par-
ents two miles west of McLoud,
Wednesday, Feb., Ivey. W. C.
Driskill officiating. Their many
friends unite with the Standard in

Receives Appoinmtent
Substitute G. W. Johnston of
McLoud has been offered a perma-
nent appointment as postal clerk
on the Monett and Oklahoma City
railway postoffice. It is needless
to say that he will accept. —Okla-
homan.
