Brewer Not Coming.
Sometime ago Rev. C. A. Brewer,
who was appointed by the Oklahoma
Methodist Conference to till the pul-
pit here this year, notified the district
superintendent that he would be un-
able to accept this appointment, thus
leaving this pulpit vacant.
The superintendent was to have
been here Wednesday afternoon to
conferr with the people concerning
tlie appointment of a pastor here but
for some reason was unable to
come and telephoned from Kingfisher
that another dates for the meeting
would be set.

Six Inches of Rain.
It is estimated that over six inches
of rain fell here between Friday morn-

! heaviest rainfall was Saturday when
it continued a steady downpour near-
ly all day. The raiu continued over
Sunday and unt il Monday night, be
i ing followed 1 uesdav by clear and
warmer weather. This Js the best
rain that we Lave had for over a year
and has soaked the ground to a con-
siderable depth, Insuring good wheat
