We think it would be a feasi-
ble plan for each merchant to
have built two or more scats to
be used in the park for the ac-
commodation ol the public dur-
ing the sales-days.
Why not commence some mu-
nicipal improvements? If these
old board sidewalk were replaced
with cement and the main street
graded up and all obstructions
removed it certainly would ma-
terially benefit the town. A
town, no matter where rituated,
that has a dilapidated appear-
ance, can hardly expect to cor-
ral the trade, nor for that mat-
ter act very favorably towarda
landing prospective investors.

If anybody happens to ask you
why Parkites are commencing to
brace up and don their best bib
and tucker, incidentally taking
on city airs, just attribute the
change te the new* building ao-
tivities. No we’re not sitting
up to take notice—simply clam-
bering up on stilts so that our
far-vision may out-strip our com-
petitor towns. With several new
brick buildings under construc-
tion and several more contem-
plated, we feel justly proud of
our strides in progression.
