Waynoka is in the Southwestern part of the county. Waynoka is a division
P°i-.t on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe system, has a pay-roll of about
$2 ;,000 a month, a 20-stall round-house, repair shops, magnificent depot, Har-
vey eating house, Ry. Y. M. C. A. building and a 100-ton capacity ice plant.
We have a splendid public school building, costing $22,000, of twelve rooms
ami large auditorium. We haw over 60 business houses which draw trade from
a territory 15 to 50 miles distant. Here are four churches, two newspapers,
three physicians, four drug stores, two lawyers, two telephone companies, four
lumber yards, and 1,500 people who believe in the progressive present and the
fulsome future of Waynoka.
'Ihere is now being installed here a complete city water and light systam.
The Santa Fe company has in operation here a $50,000 water plant, for the
reason that they get water that tests 98 per cent. pure.
Our climate is healthy, invigorating, disease-defying,
easily handled and devoid of mud or .gumbo.
Those desiring a change from the- crowded eastern farms or cities can find
no beuer place to locate, where the people and the elements conspire to make
the stranger to feel welcome.
