of six months, there being no habi-
table house or structure of any kind
upon said tract of land and the soil
being in its original wild state; that
said default in establishing residence
and maintaining same baa never been
cured; that the said tract of land is
not settled upon and cultivated by
said party as required by law; and
that the said alleged absence from
the said land was not due to his em-
ployment in the Army, Navy, or Ma-
rine corps of the United States in
any capacity daring a time of war,
and this the said contestant is ready
to prove at such time and place is
may be named by the Register and
Receiver for a hearing in the said
case. Said parties are hereby noti-
fied to appear, respond and offer evi-
dence touching said allegation at 10
o’clock a. m., on May 19, 1902, be-
fore the Register and Receiver at the
United States Land Office in Wood-

papers.
Neither did either of the editors of
the Dispatch ever swear to a lie to
get to serve on the Grand Jury, how-
ever, we have never been accused of
