A sufficient contest affidavit baring
been filed in thin office by Charles R.
Alexander, contestant, against Home-
stead entry No. 4600, made July 26,
1900, for the SEJ SWJ, Sec. 7, Loti
1, 2, NET NWJ, Section 18, Township
28, Range 21W, by Miles W. Heflin,
Contestee, in which it ia alleged that
said entryman has wholly abaadoned
laid tract for a period of mam than
six months last past and next prior to
the date herein; that he ku not re-
sided upon and cultivated arid tract
aa required by law; that hia absence
therefrom ia not due to hia employ-
ment in the Military service of the
United States in time of war. Said
parties are hereby notified to appear,
respond and offer evidence touching
said allegation at 10 o’clock a. m., on
January 8th, 1902, before the Regis-
ter and Receiver at the United States
Land Office in Woodward, Woodward
county, 0. T.
The arid contestant having, in a
proper affidavit, filed Nov. 8th, 1901,
set forth facts which show that after
due diligence personal service of this
notice can not be made, it ia hereby
ordered and directed that such notice
be given by due and proper publica-

fever, on Monday night, Nov. 11,
1901,. at the residence of his mother

entire town turning out to the fu-
