meeting of the Itankhcnd Highway
Association. There Is a big fight on
to decide whether the "All Texas" or
tho "Northern" route will be select-

thru Texas by tho way of Dallas
and Texarkana while the latter is
proposed thru Oklahoma and the
Texas Panhandle by the way of Hot
Springs and Southern Oklahoma. It
Is pointed out by the Oklahomnns
that the "Northern " routo Is about
two hundred miles shorter that the
Texas route.

tions examined statutes and execu-
tive orders this week without find-

tho Internal Revenue Bureau might
enforco war-time prohibition after

proper enforcement legislation will
likely mako the law null und of no

Leave Durant
A few weeks ago we made up our minds to clote out
our stock and leave Durant. We thought wo saw liigger
opportunities elsewhere and we liouglit a store at
Shroveport La. which wo are now operating with very
gratifying results.
During" these weeks wo have learned a few more
things and one of them is that there aro mighty few
oilier tows on earth as good as Durant. and mighty
few oilier counties in ISryuu County's class so we've
changed our mind and have'nt any apology to make
but we're going to stay in Durant and build up our
local store to points heretofore not attempted.
