MORGAN HOMK CONSIDERABLY
DAMAGED IiV PIKE THURSDAY
Fire discovered upstairs In the D.
Morgan home at Ninth and Elm did
about $2000 damage to the building
and furniture Thiiisday afternoon
which is covered b insurance. The
fire department made a fust run to
the scene as soon as the alarm came
In and no doubt saved the home nnd
contents from completo destruction
The homo Is one of the largest and
most beautiful In the city and Its to-
tal destruction would probably have
entailed a loss of $1.1.000.
It Is believed that the fire origin-
ated from defective electric wiring
between tho celling and the floors
as the fire was first dlsrovered upstairs.

Prospects Bright
A half mile east of us the Baumgartncr well is down
1500 feet with every indication of a Dig well.
A quarter mile west on the offset forty acres a well
is down several hundred feet on Caldwell Tract No. 2.
Three miles north of our lease are a number of wells
making from 2500 to 5000 barrels and one south nf us is
making 300 to 500 on the Bedford Lease.
Four miles to the east of us is the big production in-
cluding the Conlee Well G000 barrels; Norwood Well 10-
000 to 15000 barrels; Harris Well 2400 barrels and many
others.
The above statements are cold facts without alluring
words to make them glitter. The country between East-
land and Ranger is proven as from three sides and the
Baumgartner Well to the east and the Caldwell' Well on
the west will prove up our property at the other fellow's
rifak for drilling cost.
On thiee bides of our loase other leases are bringing
$1000 $2000 and $3000 per acre.
