Men who Ii.'iac the political situation in OUlahoina
sized up carefully :inuoiiuc' lliis week that any one of the
four leading cantliilatcs for Ciovi'fiior cm win that it is
anybody's race that any considerable change in any lo-
cality may change the entire result in the State. Naturally
each candidate believes UK is going to win and makes
claims accordingly but the first sentence in this announce-
ment is the best judgment of the best political forecasters
of Oklahoma.
It simply means that Will Durant has as good a chance
to win as any of the candidate and that the final result
will probably depend upon how strong his home county
goes for him.
We take this means of appealing to overy friend of Will
Durant to use every influence at his command to give our
Bryan county candidate the biggest possible vote for (iov-
ernor in Itryan county. This county's vote may be the
means of deciding whether or not one of the county's own
favored sons is to be Oklahoma's next Coventor or not.
It is squarely up to Hryan county men. The county
owes Hill a debt and has an excellent opportunity to pay it.
