SABI BALL TEAM ON A BAD
SLUMP
Many Pawhuska base ball fans are
becoming discouraged at the way the
team has been playing of late. This
they ahould not do, for every team
has a bad streak, "slump’’ and for a
time play rotten ball. At the begin-
ning of the season the boys played
ter shape. The road Is being graded
up in most excellent condition and
the culverts are also being placed in
proper shape, so that when the grad-
ing Is completed this road will furnish
an excellent outlet from Pawhuska to
Arkansas City and other places In that
neck of the woods. Mr. Clark cer-
tainly has been putting In excellent
work on the county roads, and the
writer In Leslies ahould visit the great
and prosperous Osage after a few more
months and tell of the good roads we
have here, and what fine cars the
Osages are driving over them, pur-
chased from the local dealers at the
same price as paid In other cities.
In a few more years Osage county
is going to have a net work of roads
which will not be surpassed by any
county.
