As soon as I recovered from my
wounds I was tried on two counts for
murder and ono for bank robbery
and was convicted on ono charge ol
murder and sentenced to llfo impris-
onment ln tho Kansas penltontlary(
where I commenced serving my sen-
tence on tho 8th of March 1893. I
was Just barely 21 years of ago at
tho tlmo of tho raid which by tho
way is tho only tlmo ln history that
a daylight robbery of two banks In
ono town has ever boen nttomptod

peoplo woro killed nnd wounded lu a
moment's tlmo than at any other tlmo

My older brother Frank Dalton
was a United States marshal in east-
ern Oklahoma way back In 1887 and
was all over tho country that Is now
Dryan county when outlaws worj
thlck hero. Ho was later killed by a
vvhlsky peddler In Arkansas.
My homo Is In Bartlcsvlllo Okla.
whoro I went as soon as I was par-
doned and pretty soon conceived tho
Idea of getting up motion pictures of
tho llfo of tho Dalton Boys In all of
which films I post nnd which aro all
mado on tho actual sccnta of former
depredations under my supervision. I
